Shooting Proficiency Exam
A practical test of an applicant's ability to safely handle and accurately shoot a handgun, required by many states for the issuance of a concealed carry permit or license. In Texas, this is done after you complete your online course (can be done with us) and receive your LTC-101. You'll print this off immediately after the course, then schedule your proficiency exam with a local instructor (we give you full access to all DPS licensed instructors in Texas and do not take a referral fee, you are free to go to anyone you wish). You'll shoot 50 rounds total. 20 rounds from 3 yards, 20 rounds from 7 yards, and 10 rounds from 15 yards. If you do not have your own firearm, let the instructor know before hand. Most will have an option for you, typically a rental for a $10 fee.
