Complete the self paced online class. Come and go as needed. Each section is roughly 15 minutes.
You are immediately given access to your DPS LTC-101.
Take your LTC-101 form and proceed to Step 2.
Get Started
Complete The Live Shooting Portion
Shoot for 1 hour with a local instructor.
You can request a list of local instructors from us.
They will sign part B & C of your LTC-101 we gave you.
Proceed to step 3 to apply for your LTC.
Apply for your LTC/CHL
Submit your online application and LTC-101 form to the DPS.
Get your fingerprints taken at "Identogo" (The DPS will give you instructions for this).
Receive your Texas LTC in the mail.

To register the other students you paid for simply respond to your receipt email after purchase with the names and emails of the people you purchased for. We will set up their account and notify all parities involved with login instructions.
Can I split the cost with my friends or family?
Yes. You are free to charge or get paid back whatever y'all decide. That is none of our business.
Can we watch the videos together?
The State does not have any rules that we are aware of that prevent you from watching the videos on the same device. However, you must also follow along with the section on your own device so that we have record that you completed the section, just simply watch the video on one device and turn the volume down on the other while watching together. Each student will need to complete the exams and quizes on their own without helping each other.
How long does it take to complete the Texas LTC class?
Online Class Portion
The online class is 4 hours long as required by the state of Texas. We break it into 15 minute easy to digest videos so you can come and go as you need. We give you up to a year to finish the class. You can finish in as little as 4 hours or take more time to go at a pace that fits your schedule. Upon passing we immediately give your access to your LTC Certificate (LTC-101) to print so you can take it with you to the shooting exam.
Shooting Proficiency Exam Portion
This portion takes 1 hour in person with a local instructor. We provide our students with a courtesy list of local instructors. Simply reply to your receipt email or completion email and let us know what city you are in.
Getting Your License
Once you apply for your license on the DPS website and submit the documents you got from our class, the state of Texas has up to 60 days to issue you your license by mail. We've heard from students that the current wait time is only a couple of weeks right now.
